The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel - review

Since the colder seasons have begun, I have taken out of my cupboards the shower gels I like to use in this period. I prefer sweeter, spicier scents in normal or thicker textures. One of the shower gels I was looking forward to start using was The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel
But let's start with the beginning:
...........................
The business of business should not just be about money, it should be about responsibility. It should be about public good, not private greed." - Dame Anita Roddick. Human Rights Activist. Founder of The Body Shop
The Body Shop International plc. is the original, natural and ethical beauty brand, with over 2,500 stores in over 60 markets worldwide. It is part of the L'Oréal family.

Against Animal Testing
Every one of the products is animal cruelty free and vegetarian. The Body Shop  was the first international cosmetics brand to be recognized under the Humane Cosmetics Standard for the Against Animal Testing policy.

For Trading Fairly
The company launched Community Fair Trade in 1987. It is their commitment to trading fairly with suppliers. They seek out small-scale farmers, traditional artisans and rural co-ops that are experts in their field. In exchange, they offer good trading practices and independence-building prices. Today the program gives them some of our finest ingredients and accessories in the world, and brings real benefits to over 300,000 people.

Their Five Core Values
The Body Shop is a leader in promoting greater corporate transparency, and they have been a force for positive social and environmental change through campaigns around their five core Values: Support Community Trade, Defend Human Rights, Against Animal Testing, Activate Self-Esteem, and Protect Our Planet.

The Charitable Foundation
They also have their own charity, The Body Shop Foundation. Launched in 1990 (registered charity no. 802757) it gives financial support to pioneering, frontline organisations that otherwise have little hope of conventional funding. The Foundation's focus is to assist those working to achieve progress in the areas of human and civil rights, environmental and animal protection.     source : thebodyshop-usa.com

I had bought the Moringa Shower Gel when it was on sale and I kept it in storage until the colder seasons, since I had other gels open and I wanted to finish them before starting new ones.
It comes in a 250 ml/8.4 oz plastic bottle with a sturdy cap. It has a valability of 12 months.
The soap-free shower gel contains real moringa seed oil and has the delicate scent of white flowers.

Here is the list of ingredients :
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polysorbate 20, Honey, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, PEG-18 Glyceryl Oleate/Cocoate, Fragrance, Myristamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, p-Anisic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Disodium EDTA, Benzyl Salicylate, Geraniol, Moringa Oleifera Leaf Extract, Sorbitol, Caramel, Yellow 5.

The source of the Community Fair Trade honey is from the UNESCO Sheka Forest Biosphere Reserve in the southern region of Ethiopia, where African bees distil the nectar of rainforest flowers to create a distinctive floral honey. To collect this precious honey, the company works with the ‘bee whisperers’ of Beza Mar, a group dedicated to improving the livelihood of Ethiopian beekeeping communities and maintaining their traditional, natural way of working with bees.

The texture is not too thin and not too thick and the smell is sweet and lovely. It is very relaxing which makes the bath a very spa-like experience for me. The scent is not too strong but it is noticeable so if you are not fond of scents or allergic to fragrances you can try another shower gel.

It cleans the skin very well , leaving it soft and perfumed. The fact that the bath smells flowery too after the bath is a plus for me! My skin didn't react in any way to the shower gel, it didn't itch or feel tight, so it's love for me!

The Moringa Shower Gel can be found in all The Body Shop locations and online. The price is around 8 dollars/ 33 ron (now it's reduced to 23 ron). You can find it here : http://thebodyshop.ro/produse/bath-and-body/new-moringa/60800m.htm

All in all,The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel is a very good quality one so I give it the A grade and I recommend it to you if you are looking for a little pampering and relaxation.

The Body Shop shower gel range also contains Shea, Satsuma, Strawberry, Raspberry, Pink Grapefruit, Olive, Mango, Honeymania, Coconut, Cocoa Butter, Chocomania, Brazil Nut, Blueberry and the newest one Wild Argan Oil. You can also check out their Christmas limited edition ones in Glazed Apple, Frosted Cranberry and Vanilla Brulee. As you can see, you have a lot to choose from!!  And Christmas is approaching fast so you can start writing your list to Santa and adding The Body Shop shower gels to the wishlist.

Let me know what other shower gels you love!

A dose of English:
Dame - is the female equivalent of the honour of knighthood in the British honours system and several other countries such as Australia (The word "damehood" is rarely used but is shown on the official British Monarchy website as being the correct term). It is the equivalent form of address to "Sir" for knights. A woman appointed to the grades of Dame Commander or Dame Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, the Royal Victorian Order, or the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire becomes a dame. Because there is no female equivalent to a Knight Bachelor, women are always appointed to an order of chivalry. Women who are appointed to the Most Noble Order of the Garter or the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle are not given the title of "Dame" but "Lady".
supplier - someone whose business is to supply a particular service or commodity
commodity - an article of trade or commerce, especially an agricultural or mining product that can be processed and resold
